I have been covering AIDS vaccine related research for IAVI Report since 2007. My writing has also appeared in the Chicago Tribune, the Los Angeles Times, the Swiss SonntagsZeitung, Prevention, Science News, Nature, Cell and other publications. One of my articles from the Los Angeles Times, "Numbers Can Lie," was selected for the 2008 edition of the anthology The Best American Science and Nature Writing. I previously earned a Ph.D. in developmental biology, spending my days (and many nights) in a research lab making glow-in-the dark transgenic frogs.
